Common questions

Do I need an email?

You need one way to sign in: Apple, Google, Facebook or an email address. Most iPhones already have Apple sign-in, so it's one tap. There are no passwords, ever, and you stay signed in.

Can my kids pay for it?

Yes, if they'd like to. They can pick a plan in the app on your phone, or pay here on the website with your family code (it's in the app's settings). Either way it goes on your account, and you never see a bill.

What are credits?

Every plan comes with credits. A question uses 1. Showing it a photo or letter uses 3. Monthly and Yearly both give 1,000 credits every month, which is about 30 questions a day. The free week gives 100. You don't have to count anything. You can see what's left in the app's settings.

Do unused credits carry over?

No. Each month's 1,000 start fresh on the renewal date, and last month's don't carry over. Top-ups are different: they never expire, and they're only used after the monthly credits run out.

What if I run out?

Oldie tells you kindly. A top-up is US$4.99 for 500 more credits, in the app's settings or here on the website. An emergency question always gets an answer, credits or not.

Is my info safe?

Yes. Nobody at OldieGPT reads your chats. They delete themselves after 12 months, and one button in the app deletes everything straight away. We only use AI services that don't keep what you ask.

Can my family read my chats?

No. Your chats are yours. Not even the kids can see them.

Does it work on iPad?

Yes. Same app, just bigger. Your iPhone and iPad share the same chat.

What about Android?

Not yet. OldieGPT is iPhone and iPad only for now.

Is it a real person?

No. It's AI, so it can get things wrong. For health, money or legal questions it gives general info and tells you to check with your doctor, bank or someone you trust. In an emergency it tells you to call 000.

Can I cancel?

Yes, any time. Bought in the app: open your iPhone's Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions. Bought here: use the link in your receipt email. It keeps working until the end of the time you've paid for.

What happens to top-ups if we delete the account?

They go with it. Deleting your account deletes everything, including unused top-up credits. It doesn't cancel a plan, so cancel that first.
